The first time I saw him, he entranced me and offered to help me forget my broken engagement.
The second time was on a blind date with no last names and undeniable passion.
The third time, I was eight months pregnant with his baby he knew nothing about.
This time he’s not letting me walk away so easily.
I love Carina because she is a strong and independent woman. She is fierce and fiery. She is also stubborn and unwilling to ask for help. Carina does face insecurities because of her past but this adds to her appeal. It shows that even the strongest people have moments of weakness. And that’s perfectly normal and acceptable. A person can’t be strong all the time and it’s okay to ask for help.
Ian is the funniest, sweetest and swoon-worthiest guy I have read by Fiona Cole. It is so hard to resist Ian because is just too adorable and sexy. He is particularly adorable when speaking to Peanut. Who can resist a DILF? Or as he is sometimes called in the story: the baby daddy.
"Will I get to meet them then?"
"Oh yeah, and they will eat you up."
I pulled to a stop and turned off the car before facing her. "Then it's a good thing I'm delicious."
And this was an absolute favourite of mine:
"You may not miss me, but I'll miss you."
*Sigh and swoon* Of course, Carina isn't the only one with insecurities. Ian has his own and does his best to prove he is more than what he appears to be.
This story was amazing! And it was so good seeing the other characters from Fiona Cole’s other stories. I love their interactions and the connections that they have with each other. I loved reading this story so much. Even though it wasn't plain sailing for Carina and Ian, the best things in life are worth fighting for. This was a beautiful story about facing your insecurities and not letting them stop you from trusting others because it may stop you from finding something beautiful.
