I have a new book boyfriend in Maxen Ash Colchester. Smart, charming, devilishly handsome...
"I want to take my time. I know that sounds horribly old-fashioned, but we only get to have these first times together once. I want to savour them."
Be still my beating heart... he sounds so wonderful. Can't but help feel a little bit envious of Greer.
But alas, all is not what it seems:
Sometimes the world is just cruel that way, and it wasn't fair to grudge them their happiness even as it tore down my own.
My heart... poor Greer. I was close to tears here. How cruel can it get?
But then comes Embry... Rough and roguish and yet sweet and tender. However, that also ends not the way I imagined.
Ash, Greer, Embry. Three incredible people. Their lives seem to have always been fated to interwine. That their paths would always cross again. I was reading with bated breath to see how things would be resolved and hot damn... Someone call the fire brigade because there is a fire in progress ;)
There are shadows and danger lurking. People who don't particularly like Ash and so there is the potential for Greer to be caught in the crossfire. Ms. Simone has written an incredible tale which is nothing like I've read before. And it is addictive. You can't turn away from the pages, the desire to know pulls you in. Always pulling you deeper and deeper down into its depths. The characters and the emotions are so real and raw that you can't help but feel each moment deep in your heart and soul. The ending was not what I was expecting and yet I suspected that a certain individual did not have the best interests at heart when it comes to Greer. I have strong feelings of dislike for that person. Ash had the right idea when he first spoke to Greer about that particular individual. But now I have to know what happens. I have my fingers crossed and hoping that it will be okay! Lucky American Prince was just released so I don't have long to wait! I just hope my poor heart will cope.
