When you play with the devil, you'd better not turn your back.
Beau never intended to fall in love, but what was once his conquest has become his prize. Until he ends up in the same position he was ten years earlier—between Lola’s legs and begging to have her. So when she purposely disappears into thin air, leaving him empty-handed and alone, Beau is consumed with the need to find her.
As Lola gets farther from his reach, Beau is driven to the brink of insanity trying to get to her. When he finds himself at the ledge, he has to decide if he can let Lola go for good—or if he’s going to bring her down with him.
Night Edge is book four in the Night Fever Serial. Reader discretion is advised due to mature themes. 41,000 words.
Woah mama! The final installment of the Night Fever series!!!
You guys should have read the other books by now or someone will be upset with you! Namely me :P So Lola is continuing her drive to get away from Beau but she allows herself to remember her time with him. It's bittersweet. And it seems that Beau always thinks that his money and status can solve any problem. However, it seems that for the first time, money, his money, has taken away what he wants. Lola.
Lola had disappeared without a trace and left no sign she was coming back. That was what his money had bought her.
Take that Beau!!! I do love the guy but that doesn't mean I have to like him all the time ;) lol. He still isn't having much luck in finding Lola until he meets her mother. She might have just given him the break he needed. Lola, meanwhile, is enjoying traveling around. She just wishes that she could enjoy Beau's suffering a little more. Poor thing is really struggling with her feelings. Hurt, betrayal, hope. The kind of hope that comes with imagining what if... What if things had worked out differently? A part of me doesn't want her to give in. To go back to Beau. He betrayed her. Used her and discarded her when he was done. But he does have good qualities. Like when he opened up those few times. You almost saw the real Beau, the man behind the suit. I'm not surprised Lola is confused. I am lol. But she does finally make some decisions about her future.
This quote from Brigitte was a surprise:
"I don't want you to." She held his gaze, also unblinking. "That's how I know you have to."
Wow, for the first time I actually like Brigitte. She is saying something that makes sense and placing the happiness of her brother before her own. But it seems that luck isn't on Beau's side. Is it bad that I was like mwahaha Beau? :P Maybe a little... But then I was given the biggest shock that left me blindsided!!!
And before I go, a final gif. I've heard that Jessica loves Gandy ;)
