Hello, I'm Cheryl. I've been doing freelance editing since 2014 and have edited 30 books so far.
I would be delighted to work with you and help your book shine.
A little about myself; I currently hold a full time job while also working on a part time Bachelor in Communications with Marketing. It's a dream of mine to one day be able to work in a publishing house.
I grew up loving to read, from fairy tales to fantasy to romance. I've been reading a lot of romance novels the past years. If you're curious as to how much I read, I've read 250 books last year. Some of my favourite authors include Shayne McClendon, Kristen Ashley, Susan Stoker, and Cherise Sinclair.
While I do write occasionally, I very much prefer editing to writing. There's something satisfying about crafting and polishing a work into its best possible form. If you were to ask me what I like best about editing, I'd say it's being able to interact with authors, and being able to exchange ideas/opinions on scenes with them.
Please know that it's not personal when I'm extremely honest with my feedback. My goal is to make sure you present the best to your readers while retaining the world you've crafted.
If you're interested, please fill in the form below and I'll get in touch with you as soon as possible!

Testimonials
"Cheryl was a giant help with editing of my latest releases. My first one went really terrible so I was so excited when I got an editor that actually gave me some feedback and really helped me through the process. I haven’t had any issues with people saying I have had editing mistakes like I did in my first book. I would definitely recommend her services."
- Alexa Riley
"Cheryl is great! She had a keen eye for detail and she offered great suggestions to further improve my story. Working with her was definitely one of best decisions I've made to improve myself as a writer. She went the extra mile and it was an absolute pleasure working with her. I highly recommend her and I look forward to working with her again with my future works."
- Notes From The Future, Isabelle Adrid
"I’ve written four books to date and I’m currently finishing my fifth. I found Cheryl in time for my third book and I haven’t looked back. I’m actually going to have the second book I released, re-edited by Cheryl as I would have loved for her to have done it the first time around.
I have Dyslexia which is not great for someone who is a writer, so even though I do try my hardest, I miss a lot of my mistakes.
Cheryl has always been helpful, professional, polite and most importantly honest and I always feel like my book baby is in safe hands with her. Her comments, questions and advice have helped me to learn and look out for when parts of my work are dialogue heavy, thin or just missing.
As a dyslexic author it means a lot to have an editor who hears what I’m saying and genuinely wants to help sharpen my work, not chop it up. I feel that she understands my style and what I’m trying to do and goes above and beyond to help me get that done.
I would recommend her to any author looking for an editor and I will continue to go to her for all of my future books edits."

"To all of you readers and writers out there, I just wanted to let you know that Cheryl Lim has started being my editor. I found her on the internet web search a few months ago and contacted her. She asked me to send her a few pages of my books I wanted edited so I did. She responded to me within 24 hours and was interested in my first two books.
I have already received the first book back with her excellent editing skills and she is now working on book two for me. I find her to be honest, understanding and excellent at feeling the characters in my stories. I could tell she really got into the story.
If you are looking for an honest editor, Cheryl should be your top pick. She is very reasonable and if I have questions, she responds very quickly with my answer. I have six more books to send to her and am so happy that I found someone who really loves to read and has such great input to making my stories one that the reader will like.
Thank you, Cheryl, for all of your expert help with my writing."
- Jill Schumacher
"As my first editing experience, Cheryl made me feel confrontable as she explained and asked/answered questions that made me feel more accepting to her editing my first book.
Cheryl gave me her honesty and opinions of her ideas. I appreciated her knowledge and professionalism throughout this process. I was offered an extended hand of advice if I had any questions or concerns as I continue my journey to become a published author, and I truly treasure that. I highly recommend Cheryl for your next editing needs."
- Makeba Stewart
As a first-time author I had no idea what to expect. Cheryl made the entire editing process easy and painless for me. She's professional, easy to discuss any issues with, and got my edits back in a very timely manner. On top of all that, her editing is top notch. She suggesting things I hadn't even thought of and definitely helped take my book to the next level. I wouldn't hesitate to go to her again.
- Tessa Green
"As a newcomer to both self-publishing and writing erotica, I found Cheryl’s editing invaluable.
She caught grammatical errors, prodded me on to expand scenes (even to the point of offering a bit of rewriting) and helped me format my text. And all of this assistance was delivered promptly and at a very reasonable price."
- The Year of Living Lustfully, Arabella Scott
"I loved working with her on my story, even though she wasn't familiar with the whole wrestling thing. She has made my story a lot better and I look forward to working with her in the future on anything else I might write. She is truly a great editor :)"
- The Reluctant Diva, Kayla Nicole Weaver
