Wanted: American nanny for an adorable four-year old. Must be able to handle a moody, brooding, sexy British boss.
I'm a single father, a lawyer and some say the most serious man in London. I'm completely focused on raising my four-year-old daughter.
Since my wife walked out three years ago, the only woman who has ever caught my eye is the strictly off-limits sister-in-law of my best friend, Autumn Lumen.
But temptation is easy to resist because Autumn is only visiting London from Oregon.
Until she moves to London. The nanny quits. And she's the only woman for the job.
Mr. Smithfield is a stand-alone romance.
Autumn may be young but she has incredible insight and outlook on life. Her strength to put the needs of Bethany and Gabriel before herself is admirable. I'm not sure I would have her strength to walk away. She has a wonderful sunny disposition but Gabriel has help her realise that it is okay to let sadness take over and not put on a brave face all of the time. Gabriel can be surly but he is also swoon worthy. An incredible father and man - he is the ideal guy. My favourite message in this tale was fighting for what you want. You shouldn't let it get away.
Gabriel's friends are fantastic and I'm looking forward to reading more about their stories. One character in particular had me seeing red but it lessened after hearing her side of the story. This was a wonderful tale about loving someone for who they are and not the idea of them.
About the Author . . .
Ruined by romantic mini-series of the eighties, Louise loves all things romantic. There’s not enough of it in real life so she disappears into the fictional worlds in books and films.
Louise loves the rain, The West Wing, London, days when she doesn’t have to wear make-up, being on her own, being with friends, elephants and champagne.
She loves to hear from readers so get in touch!
