Break: A Dark Angels MC Novel (Book 1)
61,000 words
Before the Dark Angels MC, the Black Widows spun their twisted web into my life. It was back when the country fell apart. Gangs took over, rising up in anger. Blade became more than just a name, it was carved into my soul.
I lost my love, therefore I lost every damn thing that mattered. With nothing left to lose, I was ready to die. That’s when she came into view. Bristol Clark was my reason to live. Bristol Clark was my reason to fight.
Warning: This 61,000 word story contains graphic language, unfiltered bikers, edgy sex, hard action, and is NOT a safe space (18+).
"Colonel... this new world's only begun...but it's already taught me a valuable f***ing lesson."
"What's that?"
"To watch my own ass. Every man for themselves out here.
Two individuals, Blade and Bristol are thrown into this world. Both damaged and both suffering from loss. They are perhaps the only light in this dark and dangerous world. They face a fight for survival. Every day is a battle to stay alive. Bristol is a sweet and yet strong young woman who holds onto hope despite the loss and struggles she faces. Blade is an alpha male that is honourable and determined. He too fights on in spite of the barriers set in his path. So the two of them together is just perfect. There are some sweet and tender moments between the two. Here is just a snippet of my favs.
For that moment, we found necessary shelter in one another.

"That's no way to kiss your future Sergeant-at-Arms. Your future..."
"Future what?"
"Your future," I said passionately and completely, leaving it at that.
What is great is that the story has multiple perspectives which gives the reader insight into three characters.
Bones is the most vile creature I've met. I certainly have strong feelings against him and no love for him whatsoever. He is an egomaniac that only cares about himself and what he is owed in life. Who or what ends up paying the price is none of his concern. As long as he gets what he wants, that's what matters.
This is the first book of AM Ryder's that I've read and I must say it was an intense, suspenseful book. It's raw and gritty which is definitely what I would expect from a MC novel. There was an interesting storyline and some great characters. I'll be interested to see what happens to the main protagonists and where their story will go. So I'm looking forward to the next book :)
