About the Author . . .
Crazy woman from a remote location in Alaska (where the need for a creative mind is a necessity!), I have been writing since ... forever? Yeah, that sounds about right. I have been told that I remind people of Lucille Ball - I also see shades of Jennifer Saunders, and Denis Leary. So basically, I laugh a lot, I'm clumsy a lot, and I say the F-word A LOT.
I like dogs more than I like most people, and I don't trust anyone who doesn't drink. No, I do not live in an igloo, and no, the sun does not set for six months out of the year, there's your Alaska lesson for the day. I have mermaid hair - both a curse and a blessing - and most of the time I talk so fast, even I can't understand me.
Yeah. I think that about sums me up.

Title: The Man in the Black Suit
Author: Sylvain Reynard
Genre: Suspense Romance, Contemporary
Rating: ♪ ♪ ♪ ♪ ♪
Acacia Santos excels at her job as concierge at the prestigious Hotel Victoire in Paris. When her superior, Marcel, is attacked in a supposed random mugging, she is tasked with serving one of the hotel’s most mysterious and attractive guests.
I was so excited to see a new book by Sylvain Reynard. The cover instantly grabbed my attention and I was eager to read the story hidden within its pages. The story slowly unravels, like when you tug a stray thread on a jumper. It doesn't fall apart straight away, it slowly unfolds in its own time. This is what happens here in The Man in the Black Suit. Sylvain Reynard reveals pieces slowly, leaving breadcrumbs for us to follow. This what makes the story compelling. The twists and turns, the suspense and drama leave you gripping the edge of your chair and craving more. The detail here is extraordinary. For example, the tour through Paris is brilliant. It's almost like we are taking a ride through the streets of Paris and seeing its beauty with our own eyes.
Sylvain Reynard introduces us to some amazing people. The characters are unique with interesting background stories that I haven't seen before. Acacia is an incredibly strong, fierce, independent woman who doesn't want to be a man's inferior but his equal. I absolutely love this about her. She's also feisty and proud and wants to make her own way in the world. Nicholas is a determined and driven man but also knows how to make an impression. Kate is a loyal friend and Rick well, I was torn about him but his interactions later on with Acacia were one of my favourites.
Trust is earned and Acacia doesn't know if she can trust Nicholas. But he is determined to keep her safe and that's something which should be admired. With all the intense action and suspicion, it is nice to have lighter moments and see the playful side of the characters.
"Sometimes I wonder if they speak to one another when the museum is closed, sharing their secrets." Nicholas smiled.
His whimsical reflection surprised Acacia. It also pleased her. "Maybe they will share their secrets with us."
"One can only hope." He winked.
Of course there are also some very intimate moments where we get to see just what Nicholas can do with his mouth ;)
Nicholas and Acacia are tested on their journey. Where will their path led them? How can you be free if you can't live with your actions? It is great that the story is filled with deeper meaning and is so intricate. This is what makes Sylvain Reynard's stories so memorable and instant favourites. We have been provided with another wonderful story which I know will be joining my favourite list without doubt.
