Emerson LeBlanc lost more than an acquisition. He lost the woman he loves.
There's no redemption for a man with his past. No future for a relationship built on stalking and kidnapping. At least that's what he believes. When he meets Daphne again, she's not a piece of art. She's a woman determined to paint a new path. For herself. For him. Except the ocean holds more than shadows. It holds danger that could ruin them both.
It would seem that I only have criticism for the story but there were good parts of the story too. I enjoyed seeing more of the Morelli family. I loved the interactions and even seeing a different side to Bryant. Also, I loved seeing Emerson and his brothers together. I would like to see Sin and his story. Near the end of the story, I did see more strength in Daphne so that was a positive.
Now all of this is purely a personal view and there was nothing wrong with the writing. It was just my feeling and response to this tale. Others will no doubt love this story and have different responses than I did. Even though I didn't enjoy it as much as I thought, I would still recommend it.
