Ballet takes everything from you.
I’m no longer a professional ballerina.
No longer a kept woman.
No longer a virgin.
The fact that I still ache for a man who shattered me so easily… there is no getting over that.
I should’ve listened to Calum when he said that he was broken.
Some things, once shattered, cannot be made whole again.
Still, all it takes is a look from him and I start to melt.
When he offers me an even sweeter deal, will I be able to say no?
The Dancer is a contemporary billionaire romance from Wall Street Journal Bestseller Vivian Wood. It's full length and the second of three books in the gritty, raw, passionate Broken Slipper Trilogy.
There is hot chemistry between the two protagonists but I felt like the story would still be good without so many of them. I did understand that this was the key to Calum's desire of Kaia and the best way for him to keep things purely physical but felt at times that the scenes were bit distracting from the plot. Of course this is purely a personal opinion and they were well written. There is drama and action by the end of the story. The ending leaves questions as to what Calum and Kaia's fate will be in the final book. I am looking forward to seeing what will happen to our protagonists.
About the Author . . .
Vivian's lasting motto in romance is a quote from a favorite song: "Soulmates never die."
