Ambitious. Intense. Irresistible.
The Evolution of Man, the stunning conclusion to the Trust Fund Duet by New York Times bestselling author Skye Warren, is LIVE!
I never wanted to fall for man.
And definitely not two men.
They tear me apart until I don’t know how I’ll ever be whole again.
Until I’m not sure I want to be. How can I choose between two halves of myself?
THE EVOLUTION OF MAN is the second novel in the USA Today bestselling duet, which begins with Survival of the Richest.
Christopher is still an enigma. It's hard to get a feel for him. Is he a hard, unfeeling a** or does he have an incredibly good poker face and hides his feelings well? Even if he is made of cold stone, I'd still take him ;) Then there is Sutton. I still don't know how to feel about him. Can I trust him? What are his intentions? He is a charmer who says all the right things but what happens after? I enjoyed watching the slow unravelling of these men as the layers were peeled back to show who they were underneath.
As I was reading, I was floored by some of the revelations...
Skye Warren is a master story weaver. She is able to sucker punch you right in the heart with her words. This line got to me: "I have to fix something, and I think I might be the one running out of time." There is so much depth to this story and intricate details that it sucks you and holds you tight. Dealing with loss and coming to terms with this loss is certainly central to the story. There is sadness but Skye weaves in deeper messages into the pages and leaves the reader with a sense of hope at the end which I think is a beautiful way to end the book. This would definitely have to be one of my top ten stories for the year.
