Yes To Everything, Shayne McClendon

I am an emotional wreck even before I finished reading Yes To Everything.

I think this is the hardest I have ever cried over a character, and also the hardest and fastest I have ever fallen for a character. I think I spent the last quarter of the book crying, ugly crying, till I have a headache.

Life at the top isn't all glitz and glamour.

Brooke Kincaid's life takes a turn for the better when she's asked to join a country band. In a single moment, her struggle to care for her younger siblings is a thing of the past.

Fame and fortune have a price. Brooke embraces the realization of her dreams only to have happiness ripped away in one act of brutal violence. Starting again takes courage but love has a way of finding its way home.

Start reading Yes to Everything right now! Jump on the roller coaster and hang on...the ride can get a little bumpy. Another hot, emotional read from Always the Good Girl, Shayne McClendon.

Note from author: This book recently went through a hard core edit. If you read it when I first released it and hated it, I hope you'll message me with a link to your review so I can send you an updated ARC. It was brutal to write and it took me a year to go back and edit it. I was that broken. I might not be able to change your mind...you might still hate it. Maybe you'll find what I love about it. Stranger things have happened.
Words can't explain how amazing this book is! I was wary because it's music/rockstar themed and I tend to stay away from that just because. But boy was I wrong. Shayne never ever fails me. Every single one of her books simply blows me away. YES TO EVERYTHING DESERVES 1000 STARS!

I loved each and every one of the songs used and named in the book. If you listen to the playlist while you read, you'd cry ever harder. The depth to each and every character is amazing. They were all very well developed, each with their own unique personality, charm and story that allows you to fall for them completely.
I can't tell you how in love I am with Rex. I fell for him just 3 lines in. He is one helluva man and his love, understanding, loyalty and protectiveness over Brooke is simply mind-blowing and so damn beautiful.

Picture
I love him so fucking much I think I experienced half of what Brooke went through. If Rex was real, he would definitely be the one for me. He is real, funny, an alpha male and a whole lot of good packed into one man.

I love Brooke and her strong, humble, kind and generous soul. I adore Sidney for all her crazy, hyper, sexy and sass. I love Jeanette because she was relatable in a way. I related to her feeling "outside" of other people's lives and her social awkwardness. I adore Mack because he saw what nobody else saw in Jeannette. Boyd and Zane compliments Sidney's crazy. Logan and Decklan, despite all their shit I couldn't hate them but I couldn't really love them either.
Picture
OMG. I REALISED I MADE A TYPO. *THE ONLY ONE YOU'D GET*
The friendship among the characters is strong and unique. They fit together perfectly like pieces of a jigsaw puzzle, each of them complimenting the other perfectly. Bringing out the good in them and making them a better person. It's a friendship that I think we all secretly crave and want.

The flow is just nice. There is a good balance of steam, alpha males, romance, humor, rock star glam and tears. And despite being a rather long book, I have no complains. I didn't want the journey to end. I loved loved loved reading it.
Picture
Alicia Key's If I ain't got you (which is in the playlist) and Rascal Flatts'
What Hurts The Most came to mind when I thought about Brooke and Rex

My favourite songs from the playlist would definitely be Alicia Key's If I ain't got you, Carrie Underwood's Just a Dream and Bonnie Raitt's Something To Talk About.

To my lovelies, this has a huge trigger warning for sexual abuse!

The Hermit came as an recommendation for those who love Completely Wrecked! I read an excerpt and just had to go get the book. This book has recently been revised! Be prepared to be taken on a roller-coaster ride of emotions!

There are some things you just can’t live without.

When Dr. Ryan Wallace retreats to the Alaskan wilderness to find peace with his past, the last thing he expects is to stumble across a broken woman barely clinging to life.

As he watches her fight her way back from hell, his own problems begin to pale in comparison. When she returns to her world, he finally understands...there are some things you just can't live without.

TRIGGER WARNING: This story contains implied scenes of sexual violence and may upset those with sensitivity to such themes.

NOTE: This story contains explicit sexual scenes and language and is intended for mature audiences only. Do not read this novel if intense sexual situations offend you.
Like Completely Wrecked, The Hermit is almost a *pure* romance novel with zero explicit content. There is a love scene towards the end of the book, but rather than being hot and steamy, it adds on to the beauty and fragility of the story and shows just how far Daphne has come and healed since her terrible ordeal. Despite being such a short book, the amount of depth and emotions placed in the book is just breathtaking.

Once again, I absolutely love how Shayne captures and moulds her characters in ways that we can't help but love and feel for them as well. The Hermit is a beautiful, heartbreaking and emotional story. The abuse Daphne had been through was told in its raw gritty truth and wasn't romanticized or made light of. I just love how she subtly gets you thinking and in a way "educates" you through her stories.
"Right now, I'm broken and ruined and ugly. I'll never be the person I used to be again. I'll always be scarred, always damaged. I may never be able to...to be with a man again, I don't know...but if I could, I'd pick you, Ryan."

Her hands came forward and cupped his bearded cheeks.

"You're everything good, kind, and beautiful.
I hope one day, you see yourself as the hero. That you see yourself the way I see you because no one will ever compare to you in my mind."
Daphne may have been through 2 years in a place worse than hell. But she made it out alive. She may be broken but she is a fighter. She didn't break down in tears, hid herself from the world. She fought to get better and that's what I love about her.
"Listen to me, Daphne. I'm fully in control of my body. Just because I have an erection doesn't mean anything. I want to make love to you but I can wait because when I finally make love to you, I don't want you to remember pain or fear. Only pleasure. Only the knowledge that I love you - you - not your body or what you can give me physically. I will always love your mind and heart more."
What I loved about Ryan was that he was her rock through her journey to recovery. He never tried to fix her, nor look at her with unneeded sympathy. He knows that she will heal, that she's a fighter but the things that happened would never just go away. I love how he puts her first. His unconditional love, his patience and his protectiveness are all so so beautiful despite his own horrors that forced him into being a hermit.

Title: Roadside Assistance (A Short Read)

Author: Shayne McClendon

Genre: NA, Romance, Erotica

Help arrives when you least expect it.

When Winston Jace breaks down on the highway, the woman who helps him out seems sweet, country, and not exactly worthy of his valuable time.

He soon learns that Leeann Bakersfield is more than she seems to be and gets a lesson in towing, stereotypes, and losing control.

Another hot, emotional read from Always the Good Girl, Shayne McClendon.
I wouldn't say this is an emotional read, not like Shayne's other works. It does get you thinking about how we, and society, judge people purely based on their appearance.

Roadside Assistance is a very short read by Shayne which is absolutely free! :D So if you are new to her works, do give this a try! This was definitely an interesting read though. I like that Leeann has quite an amount of depth and character to her personality. And we get quite a bit of a development with such a short story. I'm lured in even with such a short story, it's scary what an amazing writer Shayne is!

Below is a small excerpt from the bonus story!
When his palm cupped the softness of her belly, his fingertips touching the stretch marks no amount of cocoa butter had prevented, she stiffened and his eyes held hers for a long moment.

"Life, Sabrina. You grew a human being in your body and brought him safely into the world. I didn't do any of the work. I didn't gain the weight. I didn't go through the pain. I didn't have to heal or breastfeed Joel when he arrive. That was you, baby."

Praise for "Roadside Assistance"...

“Amazing as always. I love everything this girl writes and she never fails to impress. Read this twice now and loved it both times” ~Reader Review

“I love Shayne's writting and the way that she is able to pull you in and captivate you. I have read almost every book she has and I can't wait for more!” ~Reader Review

“I love Shayne's writing, there is no doubt about that. Every story has a heart and is a living, breathing thing that makes you fall in love with it. This is one of her shorter stories but you still get pulled into the lives of these characters. I'm always left wanting more, and to me, that is the sign of an artist, a very successful artist!” ~Reader Review

“An absolutely amazing story yet again from one of my fave fave authors. I don't think there is anything this woman can write that I wouldn't like. She always takes you on an emotional journey with a serious twist of erotic and this book showed to never judge someone by outside appearances. You'll never know what your passing up in the end.” ~Reader Review

“Once again Shayne did not let me down. I absolutely love her writing! The characters just seem to leap off the page and make me feel like I should be looking around to meet them, they are so real! If you have not read any of her books, do so now so you do not miss out on such well written stories!” ~Reader Review

The Most Gut-wrenching, Ugly-crying, Emotional Yet Beautiful Romance Ever!

Shayne McClendon is like a drug (a bad comparison that doesn't do her works justice). Her writing; the stories and characters that she weaves, the amount of emotions and herself that she puts into her works, just hits the right spot and leave you wanting and craving for me! I ADORE HER <3 So pardon my raving.

This being her first *true* romance novel, I didn't really know what to expect but I knew it was going to be good. None of her works have ever let me down.

The sun is brightest after the fiercest storm.

Elizabeth Clayton has been in love with Dylan Lange since they were in elementary school. Uncomfortable in her own skin and in possession of a kind and gentle heart, she never expects him to see her in a romantic light.

When she stumbles upon him, battered and unconscious, it starts a chain reaction that will span more than a decade of interactions between them filled with pain, devotion, love, and loss.

Take a journey with Lizzy and Dylan that will make you laugh, make you ugly cry, and (hopefully) encourage you to take a look around and appreciate the love and positivity in your own life.

The first survival romance novel by Always the Good Girl, Shayne McClendon.

Trigger warning - two of the characters in this novel survive extreme abuse. Their ordeal is not depicted in graphic detail nor is it considered a positive aspect of the story. However, it is crucial to the plot.
Completely Wrecked is one amazing, beautiful and emotional romance.
For one, it will leave you ugly--crying, bawl your eyes out, snot and all. Following the story on as it slowly unfolded itself, I couldn't stop wanting for more. I was taken on a roller-coaster ride of emotions! There were so many times I just curled up in bed while reading Completely Wrecked and just cried.

Completely Wrecked is aptly named, it wrecks your heart and leave you as a mess. I laughed, I ugly-cried, I swoon and I cried even more. Believe me, you'll enjoy it :)
